Getting the tubes

Well, it looks like Nathaniel will be getting tubes in his ears to deal with the almost constant fluid in them and the too-often-recurring infections. I hope they help relieve the pain on the little guy ... he could use it.

Now we just need to get things lined up to do that ... but it should happen within the next few weeks.

Mark,

My friend's son had the tubes in his ears. It helped with his infections a lot and he is doing well now (he is 6).

When I was little, I got infections almost one after the other. I had tubes put in when I was 18 months old and taken out (they're supposed to fall out, but mine didn't) when I was three. I haven't had an ear infection in the subsequent 21 years, so believe me, now matter how weird they seem now, he'll thank you later!

Tubes are GREAT! not only did the ear infections stop but colds are quicker to clear up and a lot less severe. The tubes also stopped all the sinus issues that came after the colds. Down side is that you can not get any liquids in his ear so long as the tubes are in... that is easier said then done during bathtime.
